STATEMENT OF FAITH

"God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth."

  1. There is only one living and true God.

  2. God subsists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  3. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the same in substance, and equal in power and glory, yet distinct persons.

  4. God created the world out of nothing in six days and rested on the seventh.

  5. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, was both God and man.

  6. Man is a sinner and justly deserves God's righteous judgment.

  7. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and died on a Roman cross to pay the penalty for man's sin. On the third day, He arose from the dead and ascended into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of the Father.

  8. Salvation is granted by God to those who repent of their sins and by faith receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. There is no other way whereby one may be saved.

  9. Those whom God justifies, He also sanctifies and glorifies by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  10. Good works have no power to reconcile a person to God, but are the fruits and evidences of a true saving faith, and  can only be performed by walking in the  Spirit.

  11. Believers, after death, go into the presence of God in heaven and receive their reward; unbelievers, after death, are judged and will spend all eternity in hell apart from God.

  12. The Bible, consisting of the Old and  New Testaments (66 books), is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

  13. The moral law of God is to be faithfully obeyed, thereby demonstrating love for, and gratitude to, Him for His mercy and grace.

  14. God alone is to be worshiped in spirit and in truth.

  15. The Church consists of all true believers who are united to Jesus Christ as their Head and King.

  16. Believers are to join together for mutual edification and encouragement, and have been given spiritual gifts by which to build up one another in the body of Christ.

  17. Christ has instituted two sacraments for His people: Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

  18. Jesus Christ is coming again in power and glory.

  19. God has appointed a day when He will judge the world. Hence, all people should live their lives for the glory of God and ever be prepared to say, "Come Lord Jesus, come quickly, Amen.”
